CPR and First Aid

The image shows the side of an ambulance with "Valley Ambulance" written on it and a heartbeat graphic.

CPR/First Aid classes are taught by American Heart Association Instructors at the Puerco Valley Fire District’s Station 1.  Times will vary depending on class size and Instructors. These classes are a video based course with some hands-on practice that will be guided by the Instructors. The skills taught in our CPR classes are valuable life skills that may assist you in an emergency situation. All classes are allowed 8 participants and spaces fill up fast. We also offer a short class on home fire safety afterwards. All payment must be received in order to sign you up on the roster. Payment is NON-REFUNDABLE! If you are unable to attend the class you signed up for please call at least 24 hrs in advance and we will reschedule you to the next available class.

Fire Prevention

Puerco Valley Fire & EMS strive to provide a very informative Fire Prevention Program that we use to teach the community, both children and adults, the important factors in home fire safety. During Fire Safety week in October, Puerco Valley Fire & EMS travel to local schools and provide information for the children and demonstrate how to STOP-DROP- AND ROLL with the friendly help of Sparky, along with let the kids try on some Firefighter gear for themselves. Guided tours of the Fire Station are always welcome and encouraged. We strive to be a large portion of community involvement and information.
